The Phantom Menace is a highly underrated film. For starters the soundtrack is fantastic. Duel of the Fates is one of the best Star Wars themes. The cast including Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, and Natalie Portman is fantastic.
I loved the Pod Race and arguably the greatest Jedi battle of all time with Darth Maul. I highly recommend the Novelization of Episode 1 for people who would like more story detail.
