Review of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) by Ales B — 06 Nov 2014

The first and only time I sat through The Phantom Menace, my reaction was "Well, there's 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back." Let the fanboys make all the excuses they want, but this film was just terrible.

And I don't just mean that in reference to its disappointment as a Star Wars film; it's a terrible movie in its own right. If it didn't have "George Lucas" and "Star Wars" tacked on to it, it would have bombed at the box office and been long-forgotten.
