Review of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) by Timpfel — 10 Feb 2018
The Phantom Menace has excellent prodction value (visuals, sound design, costumes..), great musical score, it also expands lore of the Star Wars universe (galactic republic, Jedi council, Sith) and has the best lightsaber duel of the saga (choreography-wise).
But it also suffers from annoying characters (Jar Jar, Anakin - should have been older), bad dialogue and some bad acting.
It still quite quite enjoyable.
