Review of Star Wars (1977) by Lovro H — 12 Dec 2015

The movie that started it all! I feel bad for watching the special edition version and not the original/theatrical one, but I've made sure that I watch the original versions of the other two episodes! The story follows Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi finding two droids who were in service of princess Leia that needs help from Obi-Wan due to her being captured by Darth Vader.

Now, Luke and Obi-Wan set out to find her and rescue her! On the way they find Chewbacca and Han Solo who also set out to help them, even though at first it's only because of the reward they're going to get.

If you haven't seen the prequels, the movie could be a little bit confusing at first, but also if you haven't seen them, there's many surprises coming your way because the prequels spoil a lot of things if seen before the original trilogy! I wanted to mention the CGI in the movie, but I don't think I can anymore because I don't know what was kept from the original version and what was not.

.. In my version Greedo shot first, so I'm not trusting anything that was on-screen to be how it was in the original. The acting is great and everyone plays their characters wonderfuly! The characters are also interesting, even though I know what will happen with them.

The soundtrack is amazing and there are many songs that will stick with me and I will deffinetely hum them from time to time. All in all, an amazing movie that hasn't aged at all and will deffinetely stay a cult classic for as long as there are movies! Strongly and highly recommending this movie to everyone and everything!
