Yes, yes I hear you laughing out there. But suck it. Star Trek VI is actually an extreamly intelligent film that for it's time (and even in ours) has a fierce political message. But, it's also entertaining to the n'th degree.
A murder mystery in space. Agatha Christie meets Gene Rodenberry? Yup, it works. Plus, the early Kim Catrell performance is a blast. It only makes you hope that the new Star Trek will be this relevent and fun.
