Review of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) by Christopher L — 22 May 2009
By far the best of the Original Series inspired Star Trek movies, even with its hammy moments. It really seems like it's the first time Star Trek ventures outside of its fairly straightforward thematic material. The zero gravity assassination, the Klingon prison camp, the murder mystery all contribute to an exciting feel that really makes this an entertaining movie.
Two movies later, Star Trek will begin its labored breath of death. Insurrection and beyond are not worth watching, even for fans.
