Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by Carlos L — 29 May 2013
Star Trek V is bad, but not as bad as I was led to believe. The special effects are bad, but you get used to that if you've seen Star Trek. The acting is lazy, no doubt. The action is bad. The dialogue is terrible (was "Row Row Row Your Boat" really necessary?).
The premise is intriguing, although risky, but the execution wasn't good. The plot's full of holes. These are all problems, but I didn't find it boring and I didn't feel my time was completely wasted (*cough* Star Trek 1 *cough*).
