Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by Alec B — 20 Jan 2014
I keep trying to find something worthwhile to say about it, but the movie is embarrassing on all fronts. I think after "The Voyage Home" the cast got cocky about their ability for humor, because every time they desperately try to funny here its painful (and whenever they try to be serious, its funny).
Ultimately the greatest offense is that none of the characters act like themselves, which given the fact that they had three full seasons of the TV show and four preceding films as reference points is pretty inexcusable.
