Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Brian S — 25 May 2009
Emphasized by a riveting color scheme of browns and greys, this film is is triumphantly bland. an interesting enough concept, but the script was poorly written and the pacing was frustratingly slow. the acting was also wonderfully mediocre.
some of the effects were cool, but they weren't overly exciting or groundbreaking. while I did enjoy this movie to some degree, it's mostly just a wash of forgettably boring filmmaking.
