I have a love for Star Trek movies, and television shows. But this dreadfully bland over-hyped combination of both concentrated boredom, and (if not a long time Trekie) uninteresting nostalgia from the original shows, is definetly not a good one.

My advice is to completely skip this film and move on to The Wrath Of Kahn. A truly amazingly done film. And don't worry, The Wrath Of Kahn requires no foreknowledge of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Only very little from the telivision show entitled Star Trek, episode named "Space Seed". All in all, Star Trek: The Motion Picture has very little to offer, only 70's animation and adequate dialogue from William Shatner.
