Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Aaron C — 12 Oct 2009
The first Star Trek Film has its pros and cons. It's great to see the crew back in action. I like the way they all reconnect and boom they're on the Enterprise again. The big problem with this movie is that it moves way too slow and the plot is pretty weak.
Viewers were lucky back in the day because they didn't have to sit through the extended director's cut. Overall, a visually good movie but it's more like Star Trek: The Slow-Motion Picture".
