Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Stuart K — 13 Nov 2009
Polar opposite of the latest Star Trek movie, I dub this "Star Trek the Slow Motion Picture". Only watch it when you can fast forward through all the (admittedly lovely) SFX. This would have made a passable 88 minute pilot, but as a movie it feels excessively cerebral and slow paced.
If this film and Star Trek XI had a kid it would be a brilliant movie.
