Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Dave R — 23 Apr 2010

I remember seeing this as a kid and being bored out my mind. thought i'd give it a try as an adult. it's an interesting story idea - the problem is it's stretched out way too long. the story could have been told in 90 minutes.

what that tells you is you have shots that are too long, which means the pace of the film is too slow. there have been similar stories told in the star trek series and they came in under and hour... worth watching if you're a star trek fan but skip it otherwise.
