Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Dexian W — 03 Jan 2012
The effects (mainly how the ships look) hold up surprisingly well on the BluRay copy I viewed, but the film trudges on way too slowly at times... with repeated shots of the gorgeous Enterprise moving slightly in Space set to the epic score playing in the background.
Really, more of an event than it was more of a proper film. The climax at the end is thought provoking... but the journey taken there? Not so much.
