Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Bonnie F — 18 May 2013
I thought this was a great Star Trek movie. I loved the self-deprecating humor ("We're all getting older but we're getting the band back together!") and the sci-fi story. Compared to JJ Abrams recent comments about "Into Darkness," trying to not be so cerebral/philosophical as Star Trek is known to be and bring in more Star Wars action, this movie was the best of the series.
