It's 2001 meets Shakespeare. Seriously. This is a good film, if you can bear watching spaceships fly slowly for 20 minutes. If you're a fan of classic sci-fi, you'll like this movie. If you're a fan of swashbuckling space opera, you'll probably be bored to death.
