Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by K R — 14 May 2009
I first saw this movie at an advanced screening when it first came out in 1979. I won two tickets through a McDonalds contest. There is no questioning that it is one of the weakest of the Star Trek films, but watching for the first time in a looooong time I do have a bit more appreciation for the film.
It is still not that strong, but interestingly enough, is probably the closest to the feel of the original series of all the films.
