Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Tkarabet — 13 Jan 2015
Although Robert Wise's experience saved the film from being nothing, it does suffer from a general lack of well-established character development. However, the grand science fiction setting allows those characters to become part of a consistent universe that hypnotizes the viewer through its slow pace, costume and set design, and especially the soundtrack.
An overall worthy and solid experience that manufactures its own "final frontier" derivative from the Star Trek franchise.
