Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Muffin M — 14 May 2013
Oh Lord. We'll start with the good. It's a mostly good send off, we see everyone going off to do other stuff (more so in the novel and yes I read that when it came out). Aside from that it's a bit of a mess. Romulans in the movie are cool but Shinzon just doesn't work for me. I also can't quite get how the Remans are all up on this high tech stuff when they're kept in isolation from pretty much everything. I just don't get it. It also fails to really be a send off film. Kirk's last film was a send off and it felt like one. This was just another film it seemed. I mean no one was retiring but still.
Mostly enjoyable and I hate it a little less the more I watch it but it still bothers me. So much missed opportunity.
