Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Hilary D — 28 Jun 2008
The Wrath of Khan was brilliant. My favourite Star Trek movie. That doesn't mean go and do it again! But alas, this is what Nemesis is. You bring in a bad guy who's a match for the good guy, you have an epic space battle which nearly destroys the Enterprise, and in the end the only way to stop the bad guy results in the loss of the Science Officer.
.. almost. Fortunately, he's already transferred his consciousness into someone else so there are always possibilities. All that said, this movie's still quite good fun. Its definitely an improvement on Insurrection, but its clear from this that Star Trek needed refreshed.
No wonder we're on a Star Trek break after this. Roll on Star Trek XI!
