Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Phil C — 18 Jul 2008
It's a guilty pleasure, to be sure, but I rather enjoy Nemesis. I think it's the presence of Patrick Stewart and the rest of the Next Generation cast which helps along a ropey story (to be perfectly fair, they were always better suited as movie stars than Shatner et al.).
Half 'greatest hits' of previous, better Trek movies and TV episodes. Half skin crawlingly misjudged comedy. Half fabulous space smash-up-a-thon and entirely enjoyable. If Trek had always been like this, we wouldn't have minded. But it *is* capable of much more.
