Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Eric P — 31 Aug 2008
Proof positive that "Trek" as we knew it was utterly tapped out, and required an injection of fresh creative blood (which JJ Abrams will hopefully provide). Despite some of the most impressive effects in any of the 10 films in the series, this is a film of cop-outs, from the diminishment of one character's death to the latest attempt to recapture the hero-villain arch-enemy dynamic that worked so well in "Wrath of Khan" but hasn't since.
A failure that necessitated a long-overdue reboot...
