Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Morgan J — 11 May 2009
The more I watch this film, the more I like it and hate it at the same time!
Romulans are my favorite race next to the Borg in STAR TREK. But I felt they got the short and long sticks in this film. Not great, but the pacing is really what the problem is here. Stuart Baird's an idiot for cutting like (est.) 50 minutes of footage out. It would have flowed SO much better if it would have been left in.
To me this is a very sad send-off for TNG. It borrows a bit too much in the battle from WRATH OF KHAN, especially in killing off Data. Again, I understand the whole 'I get what it is to be Human now' plot, but it really depressed me that they killed him off. Oh well, thus is the nature of STAR TREK.
