Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Cecil A — 22 May 2009
This was the movie that left Star Trek on hiatus until the 2009 reboot as in tanked the worst of any Trek film before it (next to it was the piece of shit we call Star Trek V). Still, this film ain't that bad.
I have no idea why it's PG-13 besides that akward sex-scene between Riker and Troi (with a Romulan!). I guess I like seeing things blow up but it gets boring after a while and so does the story. Also, seeing Data die at the end of the film is so sad.
Why Data? His brother B-4 is thought to have Data's memories downloaded in him (ala Spock) but as Bones would've said "He's dead, Jim". Still, fine film but it did put the franchise on hold for over five years.
