Review of Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) by Joey F — 24 Nov 2009
Star Trek Nemesis Tied with Star Trek 4 the Voyage Home as my favorite Star Trek movie.
It's story was one of the best, and it was the only Star Trek movie with any really enjoyable action scenes! (except, the crash in Star Trek Generations was also good).
The plot was one of Nature vs Nurture, and gave Picard a unique concept for an enemy, one he felt, not so much sympathy for but, could have been more like himself if only things were different.
His clone wasn't exactly your usual evil twin.
The only weakness in this movie: it (like all movies) should have been longer. You can tell some important scenes were cut for time... FOR TIME, that's crap, if you going to pretend a movie is more special than an episode in a TV show then movies should be even LONGER than this.
After the painful years of Voyager, I was becoming apathetic with Star Trek, then along came Nemesis and Enterprise and they showed that in it's later years (even if popularity had be on the drop for a while) that Star Trek quality was now back and was better than ever.
