Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by James O — 17 May 2018

After The Wrath of Khan, this is the one people recommend to prospective Trekkies. It's a lighthearted but riveting adventure that was like no other ST film. The bad guys aren't really bad. The resolution doesn't involve explosions or murder but there are some decent chase scenes.

I miss those days before ST flicks fell into that formula where they were doing varying degrees of Buck Rogers action, this film is a testament to the versatility of the franchise and the types of stories they could be telling.
