Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by Cj S — 07 May 2009
This could've been disastrous. A Star Trek comedy centered on a plot involving ridiculous methods of time travel and whale-napping? But somehow it manages to stay true to the Star Trek feel while managing to deliver several hilarious jokes that you wouldn't necessarily associate with this geeky series.
Hearing these characters swear awkwardly (Spock's unwieldy use of curse words would undoubtedly challenge its PG-rating today) and watching them cope with (then) modern time is just hilarious! It's just .
.. fun!
