Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by Lou B — 10 Jul 2009
I have a soft spot for this film. It's the frothiest of the franchise, despite its Save the Whale motif, and mostly played for laughs, but there are some truly memorable moments:
Scotty: Computer? Ah - Computer?.... A keyboard. How quaint.
Kirk (re Spock): Oh, him? He's harmless. Part of the free speech movement at Berkeley in the sixties. I think he did a little too much LDS.
As for Chekov and his "nuclear wessels" - well, nuff said.
