Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by Jack K — 22 May 2013
The Voyage Home must have the weirdest plot ever (seriously, going back in time to retrieve humpback whales from San Francisco to save Earth?), but it's a really funny movie. The acting's fine, and it isn't bogged down with bad special effects like previous Trek movies.
There's not much action-wise, but it's interesting to see how the crew of the Enterprise deal with 20th century America. It's a bit better than Wrath of Khan (supposedly the best Trek movie) in my opinion.
