Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by Tiberio S — 31 Jul 2013
Nothing speaks louder to me than the idea that the most unspectacular Star Trek film is by far the best. The series is often littered with awkward, dull, wooden performances, and yet this film jumps out as an ensemble classic.
Often we are given the chance to see how these spacemen appear to the average person we know, associating commonness with absurdity - sanitation workers dumping garbage in a truck suddenly feel the effects of a spaceship landing in a San Francisco park! The most human, gentle, warm Star Trek to date.
