Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by Steven G — 15 Jun 2014

Whenever they're in 1980s San Fransisco, Voyage Home is witty, entertaining, and absolutely hilarious. A fish-out-of-water comedy in the best sense. When they're in the 23rd century or when they're actually rescuing the whale, however, the movie is painfully boring.

So a mixed bag of a movie, but worth seeing for the cast and the film's irreverent sense of humor.
