Next to the Wrath of Kahn, this was one of the best Star Trek films by the Original cast. There was just something about them placing it in a modern day 1980s setting that gave it a lot of comic relief while at the same time an opportunity to save the Galaxy once again.
Kirk: "Oh him he's harmless. Back in the 60's he was part of the free speech movement at Berkley. I think he did a little too much LDS.".
Dr. McCoy: "Dialysis?! What is this the dark ages?".
Scotty: "Hello computer.".
