Review of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) by Steven P — 22 Apr 2010
Another worthy addition to the "Star Trek" canon. It had just about everything-an environmental message, an experience with exact-change buses and their quirky passengers, Kirk having a night of pizza and beer with a local of 1986, Spock having an uncontrolled experiment with the "colorful metaphors" of 1986 San Francisco, McCoy having a quarrel with the "primitive" doctors, and Montgomery Scott using a Macintosh Plus, marking the first of many, many placements of Apple, Inc's products.
Best of all, this entry was directed by Leonard Nimoy, who is my favorite Enterprise crew member, and acknowledges that there's no escaping that he is, indeed, Spock.
