Many of my fellow trek fans would un doubtedly mock me for saying this is my favorite star trek movie.

But this movie is the best of them all for me. The reason: The thing that always made me love star trek, more than the sci-fi-ness more than the epic space battles.. more than all of the classic story lines.. was the AWESOME charater relationships that formed over the course of the series.

In my humble opinion, this was the penicle of that facet of the original crew. Such great chemestry going on in this movie.
