While it fails to live up to its predecessor, Star Trek: Into Darkness is still a solid entry in the franchise. It has well executed action, comedy, drama and suspense. J.J. Abrams' visual style is the highlight of the film.
The movie's downfall is Benedict Cumberbatch's underwhelming villain and a few minor plot points.
