Review of Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) by Adam S — 25 Apr 2014
Silly. I might have lived with the gaping plot holes and tacked on action sequences if it weren't for the total lack of a single driving conflict. It lunges from one brief conflict to the next under the guise of "plot twists" that rob the narrative of a satisfying resolution to an overriding problem.
The true potential of the villain is not revealed until well into the story, and at NO point do he a Kirk command ships opposed to each other. What? I guess that punch was pulled so it could be delivered feature length in Star Trek IV.
Maybe that one will be worth your time.
