Review of Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) by Paul B — 21 May 2014
Though it looks great and it's overflowing with action, the overall experience is curiously not exhilarating, or even the slightest bit exciting. Perhaps that may be due to the numerous uninspired casting choices, with exception to Benedict Cumberbatch as Kahn and Simon Pegg as Scotty.
It's an odd piece of popcorn cinema that is difficult to review, as it's just neither bad nor good enough to evoke much of a response in either direction.
