Review of Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) by Dragonsfoe . — 18 Jul 2014
Although this movie is not as good as its predecessor it still delivers. The movie gives me faith in Star Wars: Episode VII. I hope Abrams could get in the directors chair for one more Star Trek movie too.
With only a few things bothering me I really loved the film. The main thing that bothered me was Khan. I don't feel well knowing that it's him. Though I feel bothered Cumberlatch had a great performance. I also really loved the relationship between Spock and Kirk. Especially the moment when Spock and Kirk are together close to the core of the ship. Another thing that bothered me was how I wanted some of the supporting crew to have more action specifically Bones and Sulu.
Overall the film was very enjoyable and boldly went where no one has gone before.
Rating: 8.1 (A-).
