Review of Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) by Mathew H — 29 Sep 2008
Continues some of the feel that First Contact had since Jonathan Frakes once again directs. A plot that feels like it would have been on the t.v. show makes the cast ease into this film. Though not as bombastic and Earth threatening as other Star Trek films it does a good job of seeing into the lives of the characters and developing them further.
It brings the senior officers even closer as a "family unit". This is kind of TNG's version of Star Trek 3 and 4 - going against the Federation and working together to do what's right.
Well done with good graphics and a good plot.
