Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Eoin F — 08 Jul 2010
I actually have seen this years and years ago but never got into it as a child, Star Trek never was for kids though. This is easily the best of the old movies (J.J's is still my personal fave by far though).
Great soundtrack by James Horner which is going to go through my head for the rest of the day.
Some nice touches of humour and of course the moving finale with Spock is the stuff of legend. I think I will actually buy this on Blu ray cos it really is a bit of a classic. Khan is a great screen villain played excellently by Ricardo however he could've had done bit more. The f/x are still excellent, you still can't beat miniatures/models over cgi.
Great stuff.
