Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Itamar K — 29 Oct 2010
Often considered 'the best Star Trek' movie, The Wrath of Khan is probably remembered mostly for the last three scenes, as those are indeed the best ones, and are a level above the rest. Many of the actors don't reach their full potential, Kirstie Alley is a pointless addition, and Ricardo Montalban's 'super-intelligent' villain is a wannabe-Lex Luthor at best; but on the whole, it's a very entertaining and thrilling piece of space adventure, it's definitely immensely better than the first movie, and it even manages to be touching here and there.
