Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Nathaniel M — 30 Dec 2010
The best Trek movie by far, really, non of the others even get remotely close. Story is simply, special effects pretty minimalistic by today's standards. William Shatner not being aware of how much of a self caricature he was makes it even better.
Ricardo Montaliban is over the top reprising his role of the evil dictator Khan from the TV series. Tons of references to Moby Dick and Paradise Lost. Leonard Nimoy is the best of all as Spock, as is to be expected.
