Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Leigh G — 24 Jan 2011
Any show with a deranged psycho running amok gets my vote! I hadn't seen this in 15 years, knew the ending and still had a lazy reach for the tissue box! Love the chemistry between Kirk/Spock, Kirk/McCoy. Biggest drawback (apart from introduction of Kirk's poncey son) was the blatant special effect budget cuts on Chekov (and that token black character)'s ear-worm plot.
Bonus point for having McCoy's line paraphrased in Seinfeld: He's not really dead as long as we remember him. (or Susan :).
