Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Rob L — 20 Jan 2012
A fast-paced and highly engaging "Star Trek" film, with all of the original cast regulars back. This time the Federation Starship Enterprise is on a routine training mission, when old-nemesis Khan, played by the late Ricardo Montalban in a terrific performance and his band of genetic supermen have raided and take over Space Station Regula One and have stolen a top-secret device called Project Genesis that has the power to cause universal Armageddon, this is the best film of the franchise featuring the original cast.
This film also contains William Shatner's finest performance as Admiral Kirk and a powerful and very moving climax involving Mr.Spock, played wonderfully by Leonard Nimoy who is a total joy in his famous iconic role.
Technically dazzling with outstanding visual effects by Industrial Light & Magic. Nicholas Meyer's direction is perfection. Highly Recommended.
