Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Stephen E — 27 Dec 2012
The visual effects are much better than I expected (although their usage is kept to a minimum), but the rest of the film is about on par with the slow-paced tedium I had originally envisioned it being.
The performances are all unexciting and lifeless, except for Ricardo Montalban, whose performance treads a fine line between being over-the-top and just plain bad. Me not being a "Star Trek" fan in the first place may or may not have something to do with me not liking this film, but I can't imagine how anyone could call this thing eventful.
There's not a single scene in it that's worth a mention.
