I'm not a Trekkie but have been told this is the best of the Star Trek movies by many & I'd find it hard to disagree.
It appears to have the right blend of action & drama whilst containing the essence of the original TV series.
I've seen a few episodes but need to watch more, particularly the one for which this movie references.
That being said, I enjoyed this as much as J. J. Abrams recent movie, despite not really being a Star Trek fan.
