Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Matt D — 12 Mar 2013
A vast improvement over the first Star Trek film in that it moves with a higher sense of urgency and danger. There are genuinely nice twists and surprises as the deadly chess match between Khan and Kirk plays out that I actually found myself gasping on more than one occasion.
I'm not quite enough of a Star Trek geek to get emo over the fate of Spock but its a powerful climax and I look forward to checking out where they took it from here!
