One of the great masterworks of the Star Trek universe, Wrath of Khan understands that the true draw of the series is the characters and their reactions to the scenarios they face. Obviously built upon the narrative of Moby Dick (as evidenced at various points in the film), Star Trek II is a tale of revenge and regret that features loads of action, drama, and revolutionary sci-fi effects that mark it as an important moment in the genre's progression.
