Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Josh K — 22 May 2013
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is probably the best Star Trek film, right next to J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot and reimagining. This film also stands out as the best sequel, granted that I haven't really seen the first, Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
This film has everything you wan't, interesting characters, great special effects, interesting plot and terrific villain in the form of Khan, depicted by Ricardo Montalban. The film moves at a fast pace, but is still a great watch and also ends with a great and shocking cliffhanger, setting up a new adventure.
The film is great in every way, while at the same time feels very nostalgiac.
