Review of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) by Jon M — 06 Jul 2013
I just finished watching the Wrath of Khan. I've lost track how many times I've seen it. It remains the best Star Trek movie and among the all-time best Sci-Fi movies ever produced. It also reaffirms my strong belief that the most recent Star Trek film is an insult to true fans.
Reflecting on it... as campy as Shatner can be... at least there was acting and solid dialogue in Star Trek II. I was also struck by how much the musical score contributed to the drama and emotions of the movie.
Perhaps, the people responsible for the current re-boot should watch and reflect on this? Solid simple story-telling trumps fx.
